Programmed Apprenticeships & Traineeships, in partnership with our client, is seeking motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Apprentice Mechanical Fitters in Kilkenny.

This is an entry-level opportunity, with no previous industry experience required. If you have a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a passion for hands-on learning, this is a great opportunity to develop your skills and become a qualified tradesperson.

As an Apprentice Mechanical Fitter, You Will:

  • Work alongside experienced tradespeople to develop practical mechanical fitting skills
  • Complete a structured apprenticeship combining on-the-job training with formal TAFE studies
  • Learn to maintain, repair, and install mechanical equipment
  • Assist with ensuring equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably
  • Build a strong foundation for a successful career in the mechanical trade

About You:

  • Passionate about mechanical fitting and eager to learn
  • Reliable, hardworking, and committed to achieving excellence
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
  • Certificate II Pre-Apprenticeship in Engineering would be highly regarded
  • National Police Clearance required
  • Able to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol testing
  • Committed to attending and completing required TAFE training blocks
  • Demonstrated teamwork skills, including involvement in team sports or group activities
  • Willingness to take on new challenges and grow within the business

While the apprenticeship is based in Kilkenny, you may be required to work across the Adelaide region to gain broad trade experience throughout your apprenticeship. This may include occasional travel or working away on projects as required by the business.
